With the likes of Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Zaha coming to the fore in 2012, who knows what's in store for two of England's up and coming talents this year?

Here's five of the best young players to look out for in 2013:

5. Sam Byram | Leeds

Our number five swoops is from non other than Leeds United.

The 19-year-old full-back has impressed at Elland Road since being rewarded a spot in the first-team, leading to interest from Everton and Norwich.

Racking up a couple of goals so far this season, including a spectacular dribble beating two players, topped by a finish a striker would be proud of, he's certainly proved he's worth considering for a senior England call-up.

4. Tom Ince | Blackpool

Since leaving Liverpool for Blackpool, Ince has shown what the Reds were missing out on.

Already beating his goal tally from last season with ten games to spare, the 20-year-old winger has a record his father would be proud of.

With an eye for goal and an impressive technical ability, it's no wonder Liverpool are trying to lure Ince back to Anfield for 14 times the amount they sold him for.

Reading are also interested in the England U21 international, and with a few hours remaining before the January transfer window slams shut, there is still time for Ince to secure a big-money move to the Premier League.

3. Raheem Sterling | Liverpool

Liverpool starlet of recent weeks, Sterling has impressed Brendan Rodgers and has led the Anfield revolution alongside prolific goal scorer Luis Suarez.

Cementing his place in the first-team, he's dedicated his future to the club with a contract signed a couple of weeks after his 18th birthday.

His quick feet and dribbling ability ensured his stock rose dramatically towards the end of 2012, and with the future looking bright under the guidance of Rodgers, Liverpool certainly have an exciting prospect to play with.

2. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain | Arsenal

If England fans could take anything good from an otherwise disappointing Euro 2012 campaign, it was the display of Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Nicknamed 'The Ox' for his physical playing style (and for other obvious reasons) he has made himself an England regular despite facing tough competition for his winger role.

Another talented player to come from the Southampton academy, he hasn't been doing as well as hoped for Wenger's struggling front line this season.

But watch out for him in 2013, as competition from Theo Walcott and opportunities on the international scene can only improve his game.

1. Wilfried Zaha | Manchester United (on loan at Crystal Palace)

If ever there was a player to show there is talent in the Championship, that player was Wilfried Zaha.

Despite agreeing to join Manchester United, the Crystal Palace wing-wizard was loaned back to the Eagles for the rest of the season, meaning Zaha can continue his development at Selhurst Park as Palace battle for promotion to the Premier League.

A quick winger with a near flawless dribbling technique that can be perfected as the year goes on, time will tell whether he will be the leader of a new England generation.
