With the majority of today's football chatter dominated by the brilliant Gareth Bale - whose match-winning performance in Tottenham Hotspur's 3-2 victory over West Ham last night, lifted Andre Villas-Boas's side up to third in the Premier League table - you could be forgiven for overlooking the nearby non-league clash between Aveley FC and Harlow Town.

However, just as the Welsh wing wizard sent Spurs fans into raptures with a last-minute winner at Upton Park on Monday evening, Petrit Elbi scored a goal to rival the 23-year-old, settling the Ryman Football League North Division tie in scintillating fashion, with a 93rd-minute free-kick that even Bale would have been proud of netting.

The Aveley striker's stunning strike which secured The Millers all three points at The Mill Field, sparked one of the most excitable, and over-the-top reactions from a local commentator, who was understood to be reporting for BBC Radio Essex.

Watch the goal and listen to the nutty piece of narration in the video above, and feel free to leave a comment with your most memorable football commentaries below!
