Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes his side's superb form in March shows that the team are growing together nicely and re-building.

The Gunners are known for being fast finishers to a season and always seem to turn on the style as soon as the month March hits and this campaign has been no different.

Despite starting the month sourly suffering a 2-1 north London derby defeat to Tottenham, Arsenal then went on to beat Bayern Munich and Swansea, both resulting in 2-0 away wins and then finished off the month by thrashing Reading 4-1.

The month has seen Arsenal cement themselves in a good position to finish in the top-four once again during Arsene Wenger's reign.

Arsenal have now won six out of their last seven Premier League games and the manager believes it's down to the side growing together and maturing in age.

Wenger told reporters: "We don't target the month of March. "Sometimes it's a coincidence of results and sometimes a coincidence of fixtures.

"But I believe our team has always developed a way to play that makes them stronger throughout the season. That's maybe one of the consequences of it - that we go from strength to strength.

"We should not forget that, in recent seasons, we have started with young squads who have learnt first during the season, or with squads who have been disturbed because we sold players and we had to rebuild a team.

"Of course it takes a while to get into a good momentum [after that]."

The Gunners will hope to continue their top form as they entertain Norwich City at the Emirates this weekend.
