FA Cup semi-finals interrupt this weekend’s Premier League action, with Chelsea meeting Manchester City and Wigan taking on Millwall in the last four.

Roberto Martinez’s side will start as favourites against lower league opposition in Saturday’s late kick-off, and whilst the Latics have failed to sell-out their allocation, should still be strong enough to beat the Championship side.

Sunday’s clash is harder to call, with Chelsea’s recent pedigree in the FA Cup unquestioned. However, the Citizens come into the game off the back of a derby win over Manchester United, and will look to reclaim the crown they won in 2011.

Back in the Premier League, and Arsenal face Norwich City with a chance to leapfrog both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. A victory would move them into third, whilst the Canaries remain just four-points above the drop zone.

Everton haven’t given up hope of catching the European contenders, and need a win against rock-bottom QPR to remain in touch. Harry Redknapp knows anything other than victory will leave the Hoops in big trouble.

Reading are another team who need three precious points, with Nigel Adkins staring down the relegation battle ahead of Liverpool’s visit to the Majdeski Stadium.

Aston Villa – just two points off the bottom three – host Fulham looking to build on their win at Stoke, whilst Southampton and West Ham clash with the winner all-but guaranteed safety.

On Sunday, the Tyne-Wear derby sees Newcastle and Sunderland go head-to-head in the early kick-off, with the Black Cats desperate for a first victory under Paolo Di Canio.

Stoke then host Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium, with Tony Pulis’ side on a dangerous slide towards the wrong end of the table. Victory for the Red Devils will move them 15-points clear once again.
