Lukas Podolski is fearing for his Arsenal career as he hasn't started a game for the club for two months, according to The Sun.

The German international joined Arsenal in the summer for £11million from Cologne. He last started against former club Bayern Munich in the 3-1 Champions League defeat.

Podolski has scored 14 times this season - incuding yesterday's goal against Norwich.

He has also delivered nine assists in the Premier League this season meaning he trails only Juan Mata in the assist standings.

However, despite a successful first season, Podolski is reportedly growing frustrated with his lack of first-team action.

He also wants to  play in a more central striker role at the club. With Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott being preferred up top, Podolski has found himself starting wide on the left.

An Arsenal insider said: “Lukas is very happy at Arsenal, he loves the fans and enjoys living in London but he is increasingly worried that Wenger may have a problem with him.

“He is frustrated at not playing for such a long time. He is an experienced player and he wants to play football.”

Galatasaray are believed to be keeping an eye on the situation after originally missing out on the forward in 2012.

Podolski, who has represented Germany 108 times, is wanted by mega-rich Russians Anzhi Makhachkala.

He was a regular at the start of the season, but did not play a full 90 minutes until November against Montpellier. Overall he has been substituted 16 times.
