Norwich City claim all three points at Carrow Road Saturday afternoon against brave fighting Reading.

The Canary fans were delighted when the full time whistle blew, and they thanked their team with a massive cheer right on the dot.

Norwich put in a fine display after their emphatic win against rock bottom side Reading where they climb to 13th in the Premier League on 37 points, with just four games to go with two home games remaining.

City had a nervous start to the game allowing The Royals to get a few chances in, but Norwich stood firm in defence to make sure Reading wouldn't break them down with a goal. Norwich had created a few chances but nothing to concern Reading's goalkeeper.

It was Reading that ended the first half dominating most of the half putting Norwich to the test.

Second half Norwich started playing better, passing the ball around, building up their play. Then on the 50th minute Ryan Bennett scored for the Canaries from a deflected shot from the Reading goalkeeper to make it 1-0 Norwich.

City kept on pressing creating chance after chance for then another Bennett to score, this time it was Elliot Bennett, he slotted the ball home in the corner to make it 2-0,  so that was two goals in the space of just two minutes.  Reading hadn't got over the first goal for Norwich to score again and that got every Canary fan singing.

Reading looked down and out even though the second half hadn't long started, but they kept on going, and then they got their reward on the 72nd minute they scored a fantastic goal just outside Norwich's goal area, and that gave the Royals a lifeline.

The game could had gone either way with both teams creating chances, but Norwich stood firm to make sure that Reading couldn't get anything out of the game, both teams needed the win, and in games like this you can always tell who wants the win more.

Norwich took all three points in a thrilling game that they needed to win to keep their Premiership status a live, Reading how ever, rock bottom on 24 points level with QPR look like Championship candidates with Rangers also losing but at home 0-2 to Stoke City.

With Wigan losing away 2-0 to West Ham, even though the Latics have a game in hand, it appears the cup jinx has hit them like it did with Birmingham after they won the League Cup that same season they were relegated to the Championship, and Wigan so far look like they're following in the same foot steps.

Norwich City's next game will be away to Stoke City on 27th April hoping they can walk away with a point, being as their away record has been poor this season, and then they have the last two home games in a row starting with Aston Villa followed by West Brom, it's a great accomplishment for the club edging that step closer to securing their third stint in the Premier League.
