A record currently shared by three teams in the Premier League could be broken by one of those teams - Manchester United.

The record involves the most amount of different goal-scorers in a single season.

At the moment, United are joined by Manchester City from the 2008?09 season and Tottenham from the 2009/10 season who both, along with the Red Devils, had 19 different goal-scorers.

Despite Robin van Persie dominating his side's scoring list with 25; 13 more than the second highest scorer, the now 20 time champions have had 18 others who have registered a goal with ten of them scoring on one occasion.

With just three games remaining, excluding both goalkeepers who have made appearances this season, only four outfield players with a Premier League appearance this season have not been able to find the back of the net. Among them stand Rio Ferdinand, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling who may furthermore receive a chance to record a goal.

Provided that a senior appearance beckons, the club's reserve players may also have a chance to live the opportunity of a lifetime by featuring for the league winners before the end of the season and perhaps make history and score.

The full goal-scorers list:

Van Persie (25), Rooney (12), Hernández (8), Kagawa (5), Evra (4), Evans (3), Rafael (3), Cleverley (2), Giggs (2), Carrick (1), Valencia (1), Fletcher (1), Powell (1), Scholes (1), Anderson (1), Nani (1), Welbeck (1), Vidic (1), Büttner (1)

It is also worth mentioning that there have been five own goals which have benefited the league champions.

It remains to be seen if United can get a 20th different Premier League scorer to go along with their 20th domestic title.
