Manchester City have ‘sounded out’ Malaga over the availability of midfielder Isco, according to reports.

TalkSPORT claims manager Roberto Mancini is ready to go on a major spending spree in the summer transfer window, if he keeps his job, and the young Spaniard is one of the players on the radar at the Etihad Stadium.

But, whilst the Citizens lead the race for the 21-year-old playmaker, the radio station reports that both Arsenal and Chelsea have been tracking the youngster, who is seen as the jewel in the crown at Malaga.

The Sunday Mirror claims Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on the former Valencia starlet, who has a £30million minimum fee release clause in his contract at La Rosaleda.

Isco has been impressive both domestically and in Europe this season, helping Manuel Pellegrini’s side to a Champions League quarter-final spot this term.

His form has also been rewarded with an international call-up, with Isco earning his first cap for Spain in the friendly against Uruguay back in February.

Which club can lure the player from his current home is up for debate, but personal factors are likely to hold the key as multiple sides have the financial ability to meet the required asking price for one of Europe's hottest properties.
