The news pretty much every person in the world knew already has been confirmed - David Moyes is the new Manchester United boss.

And what a task he faces. Moyes must step into the shoes of Sir Alex Ferguson, the man who won pretty much everything during his glittering 26-year spell in charge at Old Trafford.

Fortunatley for the Red Devils, the change of manager has been handled fairly seamlessly - in the past great clubs haven't quite had that luxury and have suffered because of it.
